Genesis 1:26

“Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”

OK…I am less than a page into this
thing and already a big question.

 "Let usour image…our likeness…”

Cause up until know, it was "Let there be…" and there was. But all of a sudden, we shift gears and move from just a Holy snap of the Omnipotent fingers and Shazaam! we have land and seas and birds and trees oh my to the first recorded committee meeting.

You see
where I am headed with this.

OK so we have God…in three persons. God the
Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This has been part of what we have heard about since the first time we went to Sunday School or church or heard the singer guy on Billy Graham belting out "God in three persons, blessed Trinity."

I am really much more comfortable with an org chart where everyone reports to someone. Like in a corporation you have a CEO and then maybe a COO and a CFO as the top jobs. And while all three are important, at the end of the day, the CEO is the ONE in charge.

In this verse we have the beginnings of an org chart where there seems to be a separation of powers but maybe not a separation of the position.

How do they performance reviews?

Cause they are all different and
yet they are all the same. And they created mankind in their image…so I
somehow, I am part of all three and all three are part of me. That is
hard to comprehend. I can get that on some sort of level, but when I
think about it for more than a few seconds my eyebrows start to sweat.

I sure hope that
the next 1943 pages are not this hard.
